SteeleCoast is building an evidence-first AI visibility framework using ourselves as Client Zero. The goal is not to invent a mysterious new ranking score. It is to observe where a brand appears, which sources are cited, what customer questions are not answered well, and whether identifiable AI traffic reaches the site.
For each business, the dogfood design groups prompts by real customer intent and records observations consistently over time.
Does the answer correctly understand who the business is and what it does?
Is the business mentioned for relevant non-branded service questions?
Which domains or pages are used as supporting sources when citations are shown?
Do analytics show identifiable visits from AI-answer products?
We are using our own brand, SEO/local-service categories and coastal-market positioning to develop the first baseline. The module stays in dogfood until the measurement process is repeatable, its limitations are documented, and the output produces useful actions instead of vanity screenshots.
Before this becomes a normal SteeleCoast service, we need a stable prompt taxonomy, an observation schema, repeatable evidence capture, a defensible trend view, clear failure/variance notes, analytics referral handling, and a customer-facing report that separates observations from verified outcomes.
